Web of Deceit

About the director

Michael Kyne is a professional historian and filmmaker. He holds a Master of Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art & Design and has collaborated with many other filmmakers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. As a student of genre films, Michael has incorporated the aesthetics of extreme cinema and exploitation into his own unique style of filmmaking. After starting out in special effects and prop making, Michael transitioned into the world of art direction and production design before producing and directing his own films. He has worked in the art department for History Channel and Smithsonian Channel documentaries, and has directed films which have caught the attention of many horror veterans, including some of his childhood idols. His most recent film, Web of Deceit, was originally produced as an entry into the ABCs of Death 2 Search for the 26th Director competition where it placed 20th out of over 540 entries from all over the world.
